The Baumzipfelweg at the valley head of Saalbach-Hinterglemm is particularly popular with families; it’s the highest treetop hiking trail in Europe. The circular trail leads through alpine pastures, meadows and forests, over stairs, towers and platforms, as well as over the 200-metre-long ‘Golden Gate Bridge of the Alps’. Crossing the bridge offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the mountain scenery.
